APPOINTS SUNDAY DAVID NWAFOR AS SYNW COORDINATOR IN AE-FUNAI (ALEX EKWUEME
FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, NDUFU ALIKE, EBONYI STATE)
In order to achieve SYNW aim of promoting creative writing and book reading among Nigerian students between the ages of 10 and 35 in our various universities, the Society of Young Nigerian Writers has appointed Sunday David Nwafor as Coordinator of the writers’ body in AE-FUNAI (Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State).
In a statement made available to pressmen today, Wole Adedoyin, the National President of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) said, Sunday David Nwafor will be responsible for connecting students with SYNW’s resources, organizing monthly readings, workshops, competitions with support from individuals, corporate bodies and the National body, while also supporting them in ways that help promote reading culture in AE-FUNAI and enhance their literary career.
We look forward to seeing the initiatives that Sunday David Nwafor introduces and continues at the campus,” Adedoyin said.
Sunday David Nwafor is a Nigerian born creative writer. He is currently studying Linguistics at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State.
He has written many creative works and some have appeared in different publications. These publications include A novel titled The Wiped Tears, published by Omega in 2014. A Drop in the Ocean : The Poemify Magazine Issue 2; 'Mmesoma', a short story, made the AE-FUNAI Short Stories Anthology 2019; 'I Will Arise ' was published in the Poetry Planet International Book Anthology in 2020.
