DENJA ABDULAHI EX ANA PRESIDENT RELEASES A NEW BOOK
Mallam Denja Abdulahi, the immediate past President of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), has released a new book titled " Of Foot-Soldiers and Hybrid Visions: A Festschrift in Honour of Denja Yahaya Abdullahi." The book is edited by a team of professional editors led by Ezechi Onyerionwu, the ardent academic, researcher, literary biographer and inimitable chronicler of Nigeria's contemporary literary history.
The book is a "rigorous interrogation of (the) artistic vision and cultural praxis " of Mallam Denja Abdullahi, a Director with the National Council for Arts and Culture, Abuja-Nigeria.
The 721 pages book in 9 parts published for Orpheus Literary Foundation by Kraftbooks, contains general essays on literature, theatre, cultural studies, book reviews, critical essays on Denja's works, extended interviews with him, poetry , drama, tributes, numerous colour photos; and contributed to by renowned academics, writers, intellectuals, colleagues, friends, family and associates of the subject matter.
The book with foreword by Prof Ahmed Parker Yerima is dedicated to Pius Adesanmi, Tejumola Olaniyan and Harry Garuba.
