SYNW PRESIDENT TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID-19, LAUDS GOV. SEYI MAKINDE OVER FIGHT AGAINST THE DISEASE
The National President of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW), Wole Adedoyin has tested positive for Coronavirus.
SYNW in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday said Adedoyin is currently showing mild symptoms of a mild case of COVID-19.
The statement added that the current National Publicity Secretary (South) of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) is currently receiving treatment at the Infectious Disease Centre at Olodo, Ibadan.
In the same vein, SYNW National President has praised Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for what it described as his "proactiveness" in tackling the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in the state. The body also hailed his selfless efforts in containing the novel Coronavirus pandemic.
According to the release, "the government of Oyo State ably led by Gov. Seyi Makinde has shown that it is thoughtful and serious about good governance, especially in the health sector.
SYNW President finally called on Nigerians to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols as anyone, irrespective of status, religion, colour, tribe and gender could contract the virus.
