SYNW Appoints Solomon Oke as SYNW Coordinator in Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo

 

SYNW APPOINTS SOLOMON OKE AS SYNW COORDINATOR IN ADEYEMI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, ONDO


 

The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) has announced the appointment of Solomon Oke as her Coordinator in Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.

In a statement made available to pressmen today, Wole Adedoyin, the National President of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) said, Solomon Oke will be responsible for connecting students with SYNW’s resources, organizing monthly readings, workshops, competitions with support from individuals, corporate bodies and the National body, while also supporting them in ways that help promote reading culture in Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo and enhance their literary career.

In order to achieve SYNW aim of promoting creative writing and book reading among Nigerian students between the ages of 10 and 35 in our various universities, the Society of Young Nigerian Writers has again appointed Solomon Oke as Coordinator of the young writers’ body in Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo.

We look forward to seeing the initiatives that Solomon Oke introduces and continues at the campus,” Adedoyin said.

Solomon Oke hails from Ondo state. He is currently studying English at the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo. A member of the Association of Nigeria Authors. Oke is also a writer, Actor, Director and a graphics designer.  He has written many books basically on Prose and Drama. Some of his works are, Success at last, The misery, My pride.  His hobbies are creative writing and graphics design.

Currently SYNW has campus chapters in AAU, Alvan Ikoku COE, BUK, FCAHPT, FUL, FUOTUOKE, FUOYE, FUTO, IMSU, OOU, EDE POLY, UI, UNIABUJA, UNICAL, UNILAG, UNN and others
