Osofisan, Raji, Ipadeola Exceptionally Performed As Pen Presidents - SYNW

OSOFISAN, RAJI, IPADEOLA EXCEPTIONALLY PERFORMED AS PEN PRESIDENTS - SYNW


 

The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) has commended the exceptional leadership and contributions of three former Presidents of PEN Nigeria: Professor Femi Osofisan, Prof. Remi Raji, and Mr. Tade Ipadeola.

This was contained in a release issued by Wole Adedoyin, the SYNW President  in Ibadan on Wednesday,

According to the release, PEN Nigeria under the guidance of the trio of Professor Femi Osofisan, Prof. Remi Raji, and Mr. Tade Ipadeola experienced tremendous growth and success in advocating for freedom of expression, promoting literature and protecting the rights of writers in Nigeria.

Professor Femi Osofisan brought a new level of focus and energy to the organization. His commitment to advancing the cause of freedom of expression was unwavering, and he worked tirelessly to bring the issues facing Nigerian writers to the forefront of national discourse.

Professor Remi Raji continued the legacy of Professor Osofisan and made significant contributions to the development of PEN Nigeria. He played a key role in establishing the organization as a leading voice in advocating for freedom of expression and protecting the rights of writers in the country.

Mr. Tade Ipadeola brought a fresh perspective to the organization and took bold steps to expand its reach and impact. He worked closely with other literary organizations and advocacy groups to promote Nigerian literature and defend the rights of writers.

The contributions of these past Presidents have had a lasting impact on PEN Nigeria and the wider literary community.
