Today marks an exciting day at the Nigeria International Book Fair as three constituent bodies of the Nigeria Book Fair Trust (NBFT) are scheduled to hold their programs. The Network of Book Clubs and Reading Promoters in Nigeria (NBPR), the Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA), and the Reproductive Rights Society of Nigeria (REPRONIG) are all geared up for their events. These programs, along with the Librarians' Seminar, will take place in Hall B, while the Children's Activities & Schools Competitions will be held at the Children Pavilion in Hall A. The book exhibition will continue throughout the day.

Starting with the NBPR, an amalgamation of all book clubs in Nigeria, they will host the 'Readers' Parley' at 3:00 pm in Hall B. The theme for this session is 'Fresh Ideas for Reading Promotions.' Esteemed panelists for this event include prominent publishers such as Azafi Omoluabi, Othuke Ominiabohs, Amara Chimeka, and Dr. Raphael James. The session will be moderated by Mr. Toyin Akinosho, the Secretary-General of the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA). Mr. Richard Mammah, President of NBPR, expressed the network's dedication to pushing the boundaries of reading promotion and fostering a culture of avid readership to contribute to Nigeria's development.

REPRONIG, in collaboration with the International Federation of Reproductive Rights Organizations (IFFRO), will hold the 'Rights Awareness Forum' at 10:00 am in Hall B. The forum will delve into the theme 'Reproductive Rights: Concepts, Perspectives, and Benefits.' Distinguished speakers, including Mr. Gbadega Adedapo and Dr. John Asein, will shed light on the concept of reproductive rights. Notable guests, Dora Makwinja, Joseph Gyamfi, Olav Stokmmo, and Sarah Tran, will join virtually from their respective locations.

The Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA) has scheduled a workshop on the National Book Policy, themed "National Book Policy: Its Implementation and the Role of Stakeholders." The workshop will also feature a keynote address by Mr. Richard Mammah, President of The Network of Book Clubs and Reading Promoters in Nigeria (NBPR). To ensure a warm reception, Chief Uchenna C. Anioke, Ph.D, the President of NPA, and Mr. Emmanuel Abimbola, the NPA Secretary, will be present at the venue to welcome all interested participants.

These programs highlight the diverse interests and topics covered at the Nigeria International Book Fair, providing valuable insights into reading promotion, reproductive rights, and the role of stakeholders in shaping the national book policy. With esteemed panelists, speakers, and moderators leading the discussions, participants can expect engaging and thought-provoking sessions throughout the day. The book exhibition will continue alongside these events, allowing attendees to explore and discover a wide range of books and publications.

As the Nigeria International Book Fair enters its third day, it continues to offer a platform for knowledge exchange, intellectual discussions, and the celebration of literature. The commitment of organizations like NBPR, NPA, and REPRONIG in hosting these programs demonstrates their dedication to promoting reading culture, reproductive rights, and the development of the publishing industry in Nigeria. Participants and visitors alike can look forward to a day filled with valuable insights, engaging conversations, and a celebration of the written word
