In a statement signed by SYNW President, Wole Adedoyin, said Hadiza Isma El-Rufai, a distinguished novelist and wife of the former governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has left an ineradicable mark on Nigeria's literary landscape. Her contributions to the literary community have inspired and empowered countless individuals, particularly the girl child and young women, to embrace creativity and enhance their literacy skills.
In 2017, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai founded the Yasmin El-Rufai Foundation (YELF), a nonprofit literary organization committed to nurturing creativity in children between the ages of eight and 19, with a specific focus on empowering girls.
