 WRITERS GREET ONYEKA NWELUE, AMARACHI ATTAMAH ON THEIR BIRTHDAYS

The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) has congratulated the duo of Onyeka Nwelue and Amarachi Attamah on their birthdays.

Nwelue, a multi-talented Nigerian writer, jazz musician, and filmmaker, has left an indelible mark on the literary and cinematic landscape with his prolific output. 

With 22 books to his name, he continues to captivate audiences with his unique storytelling and musical prowess.

Nwelue's literary achievements speak volumes, with notable works such as "The Beginning of Everything Colourful" and "The Lagos Cuban Jazz Club" earning him recognition from esteemed organizations like the Association of Nigerian Authors. His foray into filmmaking has also garnered acclaim, with his documentary "House of Nwapa" and Igbo film "Agwaetiti Obiụtọ" receiving accolades at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Amarachi Attamah, on the other hand, stands as a beacon for the preservation and promotion of the Igbo language. As an award-winning Chant Performance Artist and Performance Poet, she uses her artistry to amplify the beauty and richness of her cultural heritage. Her dedication to the sustainability of the Igbo language has earned her accolades and honorary mentions from various platforms and organizations.

Attamah's influence extends beyond the borders of Nigeria, as she has graced virtual events and festivals worldwide, including the Igbo Conference in the UK and the Global Poetry Festival organized by Shared_Studio. Her Master's in Mass Communication coupled with her training as a festival manager underscores her commitment to leveraging communication and cultural platforms for positive change.

Both Nwelue and Attamah exemplify the spirit of creativity, resilience, and cultural pride. Through their respective endeavors, they have inspired countless individuals and have become role models for aspiring writers, artists, and cultural ambassadors.
