African Women Writing Project: SYNW Partners International Women Writing Guild

AFRICAN WOMEN WRITING PROJECT: SYNW PARTNERS INTERNATIONAL WOMEN WRITING GUILD

The Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW) has announced its continued partnership with the International Women Writing Guild (IWWG) in the USA for the second phase of their collaboration. In 2022, the SYNW and IWWG launched the African Women Writing Project (AWWP) with the aim of empowering African women to share their stories through writing.

The AWWP offers a platform for African women to showcase their experiences, perspectives, and stories to a global audience, as well as opportunities for mentorship and networking with other writers and literary professionals.

As part of the agreement, female writers of the Society are offered free membership to the International Women Writing Guild, which has already led to over fifty Nigerian women registering as members.  See the list https://africanwomenswritingproject.blogspot.com/2022/02/names-and-states-of-fifty-three.html. To extend this opportunity to female writers outside of the SYNW, interested individuals (Women Writers) can send their name, email, age, profile (not more than a paragraph), state, and photograph to societyofyoungnigerianwriters@gmail.com and copy woleadedoyin@gmail.com or via 08072673852 (WhatsApp Number).

Benefits of joining the International Women Writing Guild include access to monthly multi-genre workshops and weekly updates on the Guild's activities. The International Women Writing Guild (IWWG) has been dedicated to the personal and professional empowerment of women through writing for over 40 years, with thousands of women writers across genres benefiting from their support and resulting in the publication of more than 4,000 books and literary works worldwide.
