Caucasus Journal of Milton Studies Spotlights Nigerian Literary Brilliance with Two New Poets

 

CAUCASUS JOURNAL OF MILTON STUDIES SPOTLIGHTS NIGERIAN LITERARY BRILLIANCE WITH TWO NEW POETS

The Caucasus Journal of Milton Studies (CJMS) has unveiled the latest literary gems from Nigeria with the publication of exceptional works by two profoundly gifted poets, Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim and Wellington Nwogu.

This announcement builds upon the CJMS's rich history of presenting thought-provoking works that challenge societal norms and inspire change, continuing its commitment to showcasing diverse voices and perspectives from around the world.

Wellington Nwogu, a dynamic poet hailing from the Niger Delta, boasts an impressive body of work, including "The Yawning Earth," "Paradise of Thorns," and "Men of Double Shadows." His literary prowess spans three genres - philosophical, proverbial, and motivational writing - alongside expertise in ecological literature. Holding degrees from the University of Ibadan and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Nwogu is a literary and social critic with a passion for reading and writing.

Muhammad Auwal Ibrahim, a multiple award-winning journalist and creative writer based in Gombe state, Nigeria, brings a wealth of accolades in investigative, data, and solutions journalism. His impressive list of awards includes the West African Media Excellence Conference and Award (WAMECA), ICIR Data Journalism Awards, Otufodunrin Journalists Awards, and many others. Ibrahim's works have graced publications such as African Arguments, Solutions Journalism Network, Premium Times, and more.

Wole Adedoyin, President of the Milton Society of Africa (MSA), played a pivotal role in bringing the CJMS to Nigeria and Africa. The MSA, affiliated with the Milton Society of Georgia, is dedicated to promoting literary excellence and fostering intellectual dialogue in the African literary community.

Under the direction of Prof. Edward Raupp of the Gori State Teaching University, Gori, Georgia, the CJMS maintains its commitment to publishing high-quality, original research. As an international, peer-reviewed platform, the journal focuses on manuscripts in English, including original research articles, review articles, and poetry inspired by the life and works of John Milton.
